Track 1 - Figment Sky

Samosa - Birds Of A Figment Sky

The Bird, on its usual route across the troposphere, has noticed a change. Migrating north for the summer, it's begun to feel more exhausted because of warming weather and polluted air. Upon arriving to the land it once knew and cared for, it sees numerous new buildings with large cylinders exuding smoke. It makes a dull haze over the land, causing the people who once adorned the streets and hills to stay inside their homes with no desire to see the outdoors.

In ancient times, about three decades ago, Wizards still existed. Wizards of the traditional kind, who lived harmoniously with nature and studied magic from pages and runes, learning from nature instead of abusing its resources. The cultists think that is a bunch of hogwash. Learning takes time and they would much rather use up nature's magical assets, concentrating them into minor magic and spells to sell to the public through mass production in their factories. These spells are certain to improve their quality of life just a little bit, so they'll be wanting more. And in the process, they help the cycle to persist.

Track 2 - On The Air

The bird decides to descend to the ground to inquire anyone it finds on the streets about why the land has arrived at such a state. It finds a boatsman preparing his large vessel for moving himself and a group of people somewhere else. A place where the grass is literally greener and you can breathe without getting a hacking cough. The boatsman tells the bird about the cultists and their deeds (including the cause of the pollution) and the bird is, to say the least, utterly shocked.

Track 3 - Mastaplan Migration

Samosa - Birds Of A Figment Sky

Understanding the reason for their departure, the bird helps the people board their boat and to get it ready for sailing off to new frontiers. It can't help but consider whether a migration such as this might be the answer, since healing a land so demolished could be a task too difficult to even try.

Four figures familiar to us approach during the bird's pensive reflection. The Dragon and 'the Colleagues' (formerly known as 'the Cultists') have found the Bird with the help of a small magpie. They explain the idea of gathering the Land Wights together, to defeat the governing cultists.

Track 4 - Flight Of The Magpie

The two of the remaining Land Wights live very different lives. The Bull travels constantly, as a vagabond, lending its hand wherever it can, to animals endangered and/or imperiled. The Giant lives in a plain, where it welcomes any homeless or soul-tired living thing to stay and create a new community where shelter and crops are aplenty.

But to find the former, the Bird sends out another magpie. The Bull might prove hard to get a hold of.

Track 5 - Halcyon Days

Samosa - Birds Of A Figment Sky

As they set off towards the home of the Giant, awaiting news from the magpie, the Bird sings a small, hopeful tune, wishing for better days.
